Performance Course Exhibition #2 

Yes Second Chance

Performance Course, the elective course for the 3rd year bachelor students led by artist and PhD researcher Yuki Okumura, presents yet another exhibition held in conjunction with the 3BA EXPO. Various outcomes of chance-oriented actions conceived and performed by former participants of the course, along with related documents, will inhabit in the built-in ‘vitrine’ and other spots of the entrance hallway. There may be actual performances as well, somewhere within the campus, during the opening and/or exhibition.

About the Performance Course at the Academy
Inaugurated in 2022, the Performance Course is an elective course for the 3rd year bachelor students of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp, tutored by the PhD researcher Yuki Okumura. Aiming at opening up one's working process to chance through instructed actions after conceptual art, it focuses on the artist's doing rather than showing, exploring performance as a way of self-reflection rather than that of self-expression.
