From 2005 to 2022, Diederik Glorieux served as an assistant to Wim Henderickx. During this period, he worked intensively on numerous compositions and productions, gaining profound insight into Henderickx’s unique working methods and artistic vision. Since 2023, he has been cataloguing, preserving, and making Henderickx’s legacy accessible, including through the Labo XIX&XX research group (KCA) and as principal investigator of the “Nalatenschap Wim Henderickx” project.
In addition, Diederik is a multifaceted composer and sound performer. His compositions center on the pursuit of communication and meaning. In his performances, he explores the tension between fixed guidelines and free improvisation, placing the interaction between musicians and audience at the forefront. In his projects, he brings amateur and crip artists together with specialized musicians and ensembles. Through this collaborative approach, he seeks to foster shared musical experiences that transcend the traditional boundaries between performer and audience.
