Vanessa Matthys studied jazz-singing with David Linx at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels and at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de
Musique et de Danse in Paris. In 2013 she became a finalist in the international jazz vocal competition in Riga, Latvia.
In 2011 she founded the international jazzquartet, Vanessa Matthys Quartet, with Dominique Vantomme (piano), Werner Lauscher (bass) and Geert Roelofs (drums).
In 2020 her latest project A.L.D. - A Lucid Dream, a band building bridges between electronic jazz and pop, released their first single 'Save Me'.
Matthys is a vocal coach at the Conservatory of Kortrijk and Bruges.
