The garden of Z-elements

'The garden of Z-elements' is the apotheosis of the European project 'Z-Elements'. With the aim of making arts more inclusive towards generation Z this project resulted in a digital exhibition designed and curated by Maxlab, Annelise Cherchedean, Max Schweder, Kristof Timmerman and Janna Beck.

On 5th May 2022 the Wintertuin at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp will be transformed into a temporary portal and invites you to explore the hybrid exhibition with works from the various artists that engaged in the different residencies organized by the partners of the project:
Annelise Cherchedean, Ana Potylenko, Dan Mussett, Pierre Coric, Francesco Lasala, Nicol Guerra, Giacomo Segantin, Alessia Talò, Tania Blanco, Samuel Armas, Ana Aparicio, Lucie Ferezou, Uros Mladenovic, Suliane Hamon, Jeremy Gispert, Alex Mira, Isidora Vlček, Jelena Galovic

From the physical Wintertuin (winter garden) you can look "inside" the virtual garden and walk around with an avatar via phone or iPad. Here you can also catch a glimpse of the Academy garden - where at the same time the Academy Open Air exhibition is running - both in 3D and via set-up video cameras in real time.

The European Project 'Z-Elements' was founded by the European Commission through the Creative Europe program. Led by la Fundación Municipal de Cultura del Ayuntamiento de Avilés, Asturias (Spain), the project gathers four partners: Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp (AP University of Applied Sciences and Arts) in Belgium, Accademia di Belle Arti di Verona in Italy, Kulturanova association in Serbia, and the European Art School in Brittany, EESAB, in France.
