Lidia Sierra is a violinist educated at MUSIKENE (San Sebastián, Spain), HSM Göteborg and Koninklijk Conservatorium Antwerpen, finishing Masters degree cum laude in 2020. She has performed with several orchestras in Europe such as Joven Orquesta Nacional de España, Schleswig-Holstein Festival Orchestra or Opera Ballet Vlaanderen. Since 2016 she is a member of Trío Nacedo, together with whom she has been awarded in national and international competitions.
In 2017 she wrote the first document so far about Gabriel Loidi’s music interpretation methodology, focusing on the case of string playing. At this moment she follows those investigations since the method is still growing. That research has led her to the discovering of links between Loidi’s music methodology and some acting approaches of the 20th century; Jerzy Grotowski’s, the topic of her current research project, among them.
