Throughout June, graduating students from all departments will present their masterpieces. From moving classical pieces to swinging jazz melodies, each performance promises to offer a unique experience.

Important visit for the jazz department! Jazz drummer Mark Guilliana interrupted his touring schedule for a masterclass with extensive Q&A for the students. The room was packed to capacity and yes, everyone had questions. Key takeaways for us is that chaos can be interesting, while boundaries lead to greater creativity.

JAZZ | Creating your own performance opportunities, developing your own musical identity, building a connection with the artistic field, are only some of the reasons why in 2011 it was decided to launch the Breathing concerts for jazz students.
Masterclasses Jazz with Billy Hart quartet
Not one, but four masterclasses will be given to our Jazz students on 15 October 2021. The four members of the Billy Hart Quartet will each take some of the students under their wings for an intensive coaching session on piano, drums, bass or saxophone.

Yes! Once again, the organisers of the Antwerp Jazz Festival Jazz Middelheim and the Royal Conservatoire Antwerp are tightening their bonds. Three students get three days to get ready for a dazzling performance together with the equally dazzling Joe Lovano. He is the coach on duty and takes Lars Van de Voorde (piano), Jef Manderveld (double bass) and Jesse Dockx (drums) under his wing to prepare for an amazing concert on the main stage.
