Sophie Thun is an artist working primarily with techniques of analog photography, its spaces, processes and conditions of production and exhibition.
From October until December she is a resident at Thinking Tools/MORPHO. During her residency, she will focus on the problem of scale and reproduction within the field of photography.
Raised in Warsaw, Thun completed her master’s degree at the Academies of Fine Art in Vienna (2017, Martin Guttmann and Daniel Richter) and Cracow (2010).
She is currently interim professor of the photography class at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf.
